Photographing Christina and Alex’s beautiful and small wedding in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont was a welcome change of pace for me during the busiest part of my wedding season. The wedding was attended by their immediate families only and was held at a Alex’s family home. After the ceremony in the woods, we took a walk around the property to take portraits. Christina and Alex have done a lot of work together on the trails and other features of the property over the years, including planting many walnut trees which was where they got engaged. Alex’s sister worked on many of the details for the wedding including Christina’s bouquet, small tequila shots in jars, mason jar lanterns, and even the long farm table set up for dinner in the apple orchard, where Have Your Cake Catering served dinner. I would love to photograph more small weddings and elopements – it’s not always possible for me to do these on a Saturday during peak wedding season (May-October) but if you are planning something smaller on a weekday, a Sunday or in the winter, please get in touch!
