I am showing photographs at the Sweet Branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library this month.  The photographs are portraits of AIDS orphans, their extended families who care for them, and their homes – all taken in rural Swaziland in the spring of 2007.  The opening reception for my show “The Young Heroes of Swaziland: A Generation of Orphans” will be next Monday, November 24, at 7 PM.  The Sweet Branch is up in the Avenues, on F street at 9th Ave.  Please stop by!

Adam & Mia’s Engagement Session – Burlington, VT

November 7th, 2008

During my recent trip east, I met Adam and Mia down at the waterfront of Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont.  They spend a lot of time down at the lake and like to go sailing together, so this was a meaningful place for them to have pictures taken.  Also, this was where Adam proposed to Mia.  We made the most of the last half hour of daylight after they finished their work days – this is always my favorite time to shoot.

Despite the cloudy skies, it was still beautiful out on the lake that evening.  I am looking forward to coming back to Vermont for Adam & Mia’s wedding next summer!
